Your photosession is taking place soon! I’m so excited!
I hereby send you some tips & tricks prior to your shoot
Styling: What type of outfit will you choose?
As a photographer I prefer clothing without much busy prints to ensure more tranquility and timelessness in your images. Light colours usually blend nicely with a natural environment.
In case of a session with your family or partner, it is prefered to choose a colour palette that matches but is not identical. Complementary colours are always a good idea.
In the images below, you can find some examples of colour palettes that match well:
Earty tones (beige, brown, terra, green of yellow) are very trendy at the moment. White is also always a good idea for pure, timeless images.
Coton and linnen fabrics are always beautiful, but please note that wrincles can be very visible and difficult to edit out. To avoid wrincles with these fabrics, it’s best to bring the clothes you will wear to your session and to change just before your session.

Would you like to have your make up done professionaly? I’m happy to assist with booking a make up artist prior to your settting. Please let me know at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure my colleagues availability.
Hair:
It can get quite windy in Portugal, especially at the beach, so it is best to bring a hairband or hair clip.
What to bring?
Feel free to bring some accessories or props for you session. It is definitely not a must, but especially for family sessions, the little ones enjoy playing with their favorite toy or stuffed animal. Other fun items can include a blanket, flower wreath, bottle of champagne or a balance bike for the younger kids.
You are always welcome to bring your children’s favorite snacks and something to drink, to keep them happy during our session 🙂 A smaller snack such as raisins or very small biscuits, can also be used as a game during the session with kids between 1-3 years old.
A towel and a set of extra clothing is always a good idea, for in case someone get’s dirty (or wet feet during the beach sessions).
After the session:
Unless otherwise agreed upon, you will receive your digital photogallery within maximum 6 weeks after your session.
Payment:
I tend to work with a deposit via invoice or payment by bank card in case of booking via my online calendar. The remaining amount is due on the date of your session in cash payment. Please ensure to bring to correct amount to your session.
Location:
Here below you can find an overview of locations where i love to shoot. Please let me know prior to your session which location has your preference. In case you have a specific location in mind which is not listed here below, feel free to contact me anytime so we can discuss the options.

In case of bad weather?
In case of rain, and not having the option to shoot outdoors, we can select a new date for your session. If you are coming from abroad, or don’t have the flexibility to move the date, we can choose a nice indoor location instead.
Please keep in mind that the weather in mid/west Portugal can change within even just a few hours from cloudy to sunny. If you allow some flexibility in terms time, we are usually good to keep the session as planned for the day.
I’m looking forward to our session.
