In this blogpost I want to guide you through my approach for Personal Brandshoots and show you some of the beautiful photoshoot locations in Lisbon.
Sas Steysiger, a female entrepreneur from the Netherlands, contacted me for a full day brandshoot in Lisbon. She wanted to photograph in different locations, with different looks so that she would have enough visual content to last a year.
We started off with an introductory call and moved onwards with the concept creation of her session by means of a moodboard and content list. After this we discussed the styling & locations for her session.
We photographed at Praça de Comércio, LX Factory, the Champalimaud Foundation as well as the beautiful Praia da Ursa (Ursa Beach). There are many other beautiful sites in Lisbon and I also love photographing in the old town, but for Sas we chose some more timeless and modern locations. Let me show you some photos of those amazing shoot-locations in Lisbon.
Praça de Comércio
This iconic plaza in the middle of Lisbon city center faces the Tagus river. It is one of the largest and most beautiful plazas in Portugal. The buildings with their rich history make it a timeless backdrop for photosessions.
Champalimaud Foundation
The building of the Champalimaud Foundation serves as a biomedical research institute. The surroundings of the building and its amphitheater are accessible to the public.
The foundation is located in the wonderful Belém and near other “must see” locations in Lisbon as the tower of Belém, MAAT museum and the Jerónimos monastery.
LX Factory
This creative site used to be textile factories and now houses many hip restaurants, bars and shops. The cool industrial buildings and wall art serve as a really cool setting for your photoshoot. Did you know that LX refers to the antiquated spelling of Lisboa: Lixbão?
Praia da Ursa (Ursa Beach)
Praia da Ursa is one of the most beautiful beach locations near Cabo da Roca, Europe’s most western point. This beauty of nature has been on my ‘must visit’ list to photograph from when I first arrived in Portugal. It must be kept in mind that going down to the beach is quite a challenging hike and therefore not suitable for everyone.
